The Hobble Inn is located at 5 Pleasant St in the heart of the village in Stowe, Vermont.   Upstairs is this newly refurbished bedroom with a beautiful queen size bed. Located just steps down the hall is your private bath with a corner shower.   New carpet was installed in 2014.  A/C, WIFI, and cable TV are included. A comfortable reading chair and dresser with mirror complete the room and make it feel like home.

The year-round living room has ample seating for watching TV, reading a good book, or just having an intimate conversation.  It is cozied up with pictures of grandchildren, the collected art of a lifetime, cozy rugs and throws, and flat-screen television.

The kitchen was renovated in 2013 using as many local and historically appropriate materials as possible.  It features cool, relaxing green tones, a gas stove, full-sized refrigerator, and beautiful custom walnut countertops.  A historic corner fireplace was removed in the renovation so the new backsplash in its place is lined with original slate tiles recycled from the roof.  The kitchen is the most central room in the house.  It’s where visitors are greeted, offered refreshment, and offered to sit and chat awhile.  You and yours will feel most welcome in it.

Still known as “the new room” to family even after its extensive renovation, this crisp space provides an extra living area during the summer months.  It has gorgeous views of the lushly landscaped back yard and hillside.  Perfect for bird watching, reading in solitude, or sharing a cocktail with a group of friends.

An intimate outdoor dining area and fire pit are just outside the New Room and is available when weather permits.

This porch, off the kitchen, faces out onto Pleasant St.

This cozy seating area is located on the front porch just outside the formal entrance to the home, which leads into the updated living room. This can be your own private entrance as well as a place to watch the world go by.
